Acquiring Indian nationality is so difficult !

For a foreigner, acquiring an Indian passport is not something easy. It’s now even more difficult than before. The PIO ( Person of Indian Origin) card can only be obtained by marrying an Indian. And this is a status that allow to live and work in the country not to become an Indian citizen. The renewable 10 years visa limit the duration of each stay at six months.

Furthermore, for Indians who reside abroad, impossible to combine the dual nationality. But the authorities are reconsidering their policy. After suffering a huge brain drain in the 90’s, it’s a way to attract its brainpower in a country that has become recently the new Eldorado for multinational companies.
