India : about schoolkids who walk on fire to overcome their fears

Schoolgirls. Gujarat, India.

Since decades, hindus have been accused of being cowards…despite of the many acts of bravery of the Rajput clans ( warriors and kings from western India) in the mediaeval times.

Recently, something like 200 schoolkids of a private school in the state of Gujarat ( in western India) had to walk barefoot on hot bricks or crushed glass in an attempt to develop their self-confidence, to overcome their fears. The schoolmaster said it was a way to teach them mental strength and determination.
