Jails are full. In India as well as in western countries. To improve the conditions of life of the inmates, the prison authorities of Madhya Pradesh ( a state in central India) have decided those who agree will have to practise yoga, a 4.000 years discipline with many variants. They will learn meditation, gymnastics exercises and breathing techniques. An efficient mean to stay fit , reduce violent behaviours, depression but also dependance on some drugs and alcohol. And so facilitate their rehabilitation. Already 400 inmates of the Gwalior jail are following this program and the most successful will be freed earlier…by 15 days ! Better than nothing !
